Presentation Description
Cognitive-behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBTI) is the first-line recommended insomnia treatment. Yet, the vast majority of providers who manage patients with insomnia have limited resources to offer CBTI to their patients. This fragments the continuity of insomnia care, or can shift the burden of care onto patients. More steps are needed along the spectrum of behavioral insomnia care to provide the tools and approaches to meet patients’ needs and augment providers’ capabilities to offer CBTI at the point of care.

Learning Objectives
Review the current practice parameters for the management of insomnia in adults
Detail the evidence base supporting different approaches to the delivery of CBTI
Describe a proposed enhanced stepped-care model for the management of insomnia
