Brendan Duffy has been interested in sleep and athletics since 2005 when he wrote one of the first articles to address this athlete population in the 2005 year-end AAST magazine entitled “High School Athletics and the Sleepy Teen Athlete”. He continues to write on this topic in various publications.
Since then he has done presentations both nationally and internationally, including the World Sleep Conference, on the topic of Sleep, Performance, and Recovery. He also does several team presentations over the years to various high school, NCAA college soccer, basketball, and softball teams. He also had the pleasure to assist a few pro and Olympic athletes as well as collaborate on various articles with them. He is a friend to many of the world’s most prominent sleep sports doctors and is fortunate to gain their insights and friendship. Brendan has a LinkedIn presence with over 12,000 connections many of whom are trainers, athletes, and coaches. He invites you to connect with him there if sleep-sports is a field you are interested in learning more about.
Brendan is excited to return to the Philadelphia Sleep Conference as it was the site of his first presentation to a sleep medicine audience on the topic of sleep and sports back in 2017!
