Emerson Kerr has worked in the healthcare industry for over 25 years receiving his Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Therapy from the University of South Alabama and his Master’s in Business Administration & Marketing from Regent University. He holds credentials as a Registered Respiratory Therapist, Certified Sales Trainer, Certified Life Coach, and is a Fellow of the AAST (American Association of Sleep Technologists).

Currently, Emerson is the Director of Clinical Education, North America with SomnoMed. Prior to SomnoMed, he worked with Philips Respironics, led a regional full-service sleep testing company, and managed a sleep lab in Mobile, AL.

Since early 2022, Emerson has co-hosted the SleepTech Talk podcast hosting leaders and influencers in Sleep.

Emerson serves on the board of directors of the AAST as the president-elect.

Course Description:
AAST sought feedback from a broad spectrum of professionals who influence and provide sleep therapy, including physicians, dentists, nurses, sleep managers, technologists and durable medical equipment (DME) providers. AAST conducted outreach to organizations representing these individuals to request distribution of the survey to those organizations’ stakeholders. The goal of this pan-industry survey is the creation of a report that showcases the perspectives of these different stakeholder groups about the future of sleep technology. Finally, explore the solutions the AAST offers for sleep technologists.
