Presentation Description
Obstructive sleep apnea testing has shifted substantially to home testing in the last 15 years. Yet sleep-related behaviors and movements still usually require polysomnography for an exact diagnosis. Montages are often more complex. Video capturing the important elements can be challenging but can make a large difference in the confidence of a diagnosis. Lastly, the direct patient evaluation of mental status and movements by the technologist in the room is often key. This presentation reviews signal and video capture principles, in-room evaluations, and note-taking in these complex cases.
