Dr. Boon is a dual-boarded otolaryngologist and sleep medicine physician who has dedicated his career to the care of obstructive sleep apnea and sleep disorders. He is recognized as an expert in hypoglossal nerve stimulation as a treatment alternative for OSA and assumed the role of president of the International Surgical Sleep Society prior to recusing this position to join Nyxoah Medical as their Chief Medical Officer.

Presentation Description
This presentation will give an overview of obstructive sleep apnea, its prevalence and far reaching consequences. It will emphasize the current treatment options and their limitations. Special focus will be given to hypoglossal nerve stimulation and the future of alternative treatments for OSA.
