Dr. Herbert Patrick is and Internal Medicine, Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine physician at Jefferson Health – Northeast which is comprised of three hospitals: Bucks, Frankford, and Torresdale. After completing undergraduate and graduate degrees in electrical engineering and the University of Pennsylvania, he obtained his MD degree at Jefferson Medical College (now Sidney Kimmel Medical College), and received his pulmonary training at Temple University Medical Center. As an Attending Physician, he joined the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Allergic Diseases of Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, and became Medical Director of their Department of Respiratory Care. After Jefferson, he joined Hahnemann University Hospital and Medical College of Pennsylvania to become Director of Critical Care Services and MICU Director. He returned to Jefferson during the formation of the new Jefferson Health – Northeast Program. Presently at Jefferson Health – Northeast, Dr. Patrick is and active Internist, Pulmonologist and Intensivist. Additionally, his administrative roles include Program Director of the Critical Care Medicine Fellowship and Chairperson of the Ethics Committee championing Advance Care Planning for all patients.
